Monica Bryant,
painter and installation artist, was born in Kansas, received
her BA in Art from The University of Hawaii, and her MFA from UC
Berkeley. In 2004 she attended a fellowship at Skidmore College,
Saratoga Springs, New York. Bryant is also a credentialed
Art
Teacher who has taught at schools in Northern California, the
LASALLE-SIA College of Arts in Singapore, and currently
instructs at Ursuline High School in Santa Rosa, California.
Delve into
Bryant’s creations to find fresh, luminous designs influenced by
her international travel experiences, including the three-years
she lived in Singapore. Most recently her canvases are
insightful and distinctive remixed photographs of South East
Asia in the 60’s. Khysie Horn, a Sonoma County gallery owner,
said, “Bryant is a conceptual artist who invites reflection
and introspection”. |
